Privacy Policy

SignalSpade is an outbound prospecting and outreach platform operated by BlackSpade Ventures, LLC ("SignalSpade", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, how we share it, and the rights you have. It covers both our own use of the platform and our operation of it on behalf of business customers.

1. Who is responsible for your data

When we use SignalSpade for our own outreach, BlackSpade Ventures, LLC is the controller of your data. When a customer uses SignalSpade to reach you, that customer is the controller and we act as their processor. Either way, you can contact us at privacy@signalspade.ai and we will route your request appropriately.

2. What data we handle

• Business contact details: name, job title, employer, business email address, business phone, and public professional profile links.
• Publicly available professional information: role, company, industry, and information a person or company has published in a business context.
• Engagement data: whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, replies, and visits to a sender's website.
• Information you give us directly when you fill in a form or contact us.

We do not seek out or use special-category data (such as health, or racial, political, or religious information), and we do not build profiles of people's private lives.

3. Where we get it

Directly from you; from established business-contact data providers (for example Apollo and Hunter); from publicly available professional sources; and from a sender's own website analytics. Where we obtain your data from a source other than you, this policy is the notice of that collection.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use the data to identify businesses that may benefit from a sender's services, to reach out about those services, to tailor that outreach, and to measure whether it was useful. For most business-to-business outreach our legal basis is legitimate interests (reaching relevant business contacts about relevant services), balanced against your interests. Where the law requires consent, we rely on consent.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform, under contract and only for that purpose, including: Resend (email delivery), Apollo and Hunter (contact data), Unipile (LinkedIn connectivity), OpenAI and Perplexity (content generation and research), and our hosting provider (Railway). We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and opt out of further contact. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing suppresses you permanently. To exercise any other right, email privacy@signalspade.ai and we will respond within the time the law allows.

EU/UK (GDPR): you have the rights above and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information; we do not sell or share it as those terms are defined.

7. How long we keep it

We keep contact and engagement data only as long as it is useful for outreach and reporting, and we remove or suppress it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to.

8. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses only the cookies needed to run it and basic analytics. Marketing emails may include a pixel and link tracking so a sender can see delivery, opens, and clicks; opens are not treated as consent or intent.

9. Security

We use reputable infrastructure and access controls to protect data, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected here.
